Regret to have to advise that Mr Don Norman of Barron James Illawarra Stud, Kangaloon, has passed away. His funeral will be held on Friday, July 19 commencing 10.30am at the Burrawang Church, 45 Church Street, Burrawang.

The funeral of Jim and James English (Eacham Park, Wondai) who passed away as a result of a car accident Christmas Eve when returning to the farm from Wondai, will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 11am at the Wondai Catholic Church, 60 Bramston Street, Wondai.

Walter Harold Thompson known to all in the dairy world as Harold was born on April 21,1941, living his whole life on the property Alfa Vale which was established by his grandfather, Harry Thompson, in 1911.

Illawarra icon, Ray Daley, Cedargrove, Maleny, Queensland, passed away on Friday night, February 25, following a short illness.

A moving tribute from Clarrie's wife's Joyce and his children, Noreen Brier, Ross Marquardt, Robyn McCormack and Kerri-Ann Condrin.

Life Member, Mr Clarrie Marquardt OAM, sadly passed away on Monday night.  Clarrie was an icon in Illawarra circles at both a Queensland Branch level and Federal Council level.  Clarrie’s contribution as a premier breeder and involvement in the administration of the breed earned him Life Membership of the Illawarra Cattle Society of Australia and also the Queensland Branch.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Clarrie’s children, Noreen, Ross, Robyn and Kerri-Anne and their families at this sad time.

Clarrie’s memorial service will be held on Friday, November 26 at the Wondai Anglican Church, Wondai, Queensland.

A very large crowd of mourners gathered at St Mathews Catholic Church Jamberoo on Thursday 21st October 2010 to celebrate the life of Gordon Downes. All of Gordon’s family, nieces and nephews participated in the service.  Daughter Ellen and son Steven provided a moving Eulogy that gave an insight into Gordon’s life.

Members of the dairy industry will be sad to hear of the passing of long time Illawarra member and dairy farmer, Mr Gordon Downes of Jamberoo, NSW.

Gordon was Federal Treasurer of the Illawarra Cattle Society of Australia and has been a stallwart of the Illawarra breed for a long period of time.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, October 21 at the Jamberoo Roman Catholic Church at 11am.
